It was a Touch of Bavaria 2002 by Sue Orsen.   A page of photos … "Some of the biggest eaters included Mark Kruse, foreman for Hartman Companies, and twin sons Nicholas and Aaron.  Some of the hardest workers included officers of the Victoria Chamber of Commerce, Vice President Jeff Hartman and President Laura Wood.  Some of the best dressed people included Marv Hartman of Victoria.  Some of the most handsome workers included Chamber members Darryl Wrolson (co-chair with Jeff Hartman) and Jeff Wood (husband of Laura).  Some of the tastiest food included pork chops and hotdogs from the Minnesota Pork Producers and the Ische family -- and the best German Potato Salad in the whole wide world was made by Chamber member Liz Anderson.  One of the most spacious tents was set up by Victoria Chamber people in anticipation of the large crowd and cool evenings hours.  One of the liveliest bands included the Donnie Klossner Band, advertised as "Musik mit Herz" and the other best band included Peter und Paul Wendinger."

Thank You, Lake Auburn and Victoria Lions by Sue Orsen.  Pastor Frank Jones was in the center of kitchen activity at the Victoria Antique Show held on Saturday and Sunday, September 28th and 29th, at the Victoria Hall.  The large event is sponsored each fall by the Lake Auburn Moravian Church of Victoria.  On Frank's left is church member Erika Gratz of Victoria, a high school junior.  On the right is Thom Flug, music director at Lake Auburn.  Thank you, Lake Auburn, for your work in bringing this attraction to Victoria.  And, thank you for your most excellent chicken salad lunch and the wonderful, as usual, Bake Sale.
Victoria Lion LeRoy Worm has been involved every single Saturday workday in the construction of the large addition to Lions Shelter #1 at the Lions Community Park.  The addition provides a large meeting room called The Lions Den, and much needed storage space not just for the Lions but also for the Victoria Chamber of Commerce and the Victoria American Legion.  Thank you, Victoria Lions, for your continued generosity to the people of Victoria.  You save us a lot of taxpayer dollars, in addition to providing space for community activities.
