To the Editor:
Hi, Sue.  I hope all is well.  Sioux City is beautiful right now.  Must be Indian Summer.  Here's a check for a new subscription for Sr. Mary Nicholas Eiden at Eden Prairie and for mine.  Thanks for your great work.  Blessings and peace. Carol Kelzer

To the Editor:
Time to wish a Happy Thanksgiving to everyone.  Also  Happy Birthday to my brother Ben on November 14th and a friend in Waconia on November 16th.
Being a former Chaskan, I knew the Wellens girls, but  mostly wonderful Joyce (Wellens) Schneider (not a relative) of Chaska.  Joyce is a sister to Irene Vogel.  You had Irene and Bud's 65th wedding anniversary highlighted in your October issue.
The fishhook is on page 13 in the School of the Wise ad, on their wine bottle.  I usually include the page number of the fishhook in my letter but you don't always state it in the paper.

To the Editor:
What a nice write-up on your son's wedding and the pictures look just great, everyone smiling and having a fun time in "I just want to dance with you."  Hawaii is a good and enjoyable place for a honey-moon, always things to do.  I had several trips there, too.  Flying six hours over the ocean so was happy when we got there.
Now the fishy stuff on page 13 in the coupon for $2 off a glass of wine.  The fishhook is on the wine bottle.  You sure make a person look for it!  Have a great day.  The Gazette is still the most popular paper.  Keep up the good job.

To the Editor:
I love your newspaper and am so glad I receive it.  I lived in Victoria from 1974 to 1987.  Love Victoria!  Found the fish-hook in the School of the Wise ad.

To the Editor:
Thanksgiving is near and so are the vittles for dinner.  I can still remember the smells of turkey, finger rolls, apple pie, and pumpkin that Ma brewed up in the kitchen.  She would have the bird in the oven early in the morning and carve it with the electric knife, arranging it by type of meat - light and dark - each on their column in a cake pan and covering it with foil for warm-up later.  I have Ma's electric knife, a green one from the 1970's, her favorite color, and it still works.
Your fishhook is on page 13 on the wine bottle.  Happy Turkey Day.

To the Editor:
In the last issue of your fine paper, there was a picture of the St. Victoria Choir Golfers.  The attractive young lady in the center in the front row is known as Heidi.  Although she was referred to as "Dick's daughter," and that is true, that would be more like a Swedish last name, ya know, like "Heidi Diksdotter," not at all unlike "Anderson" or Petersson."
By the way, did you hear about Wisconsin's new state motto?  "Come visit us and smell our dairy air."

I invite you to interview a gardening and cooking expert who will be giving a free lecture at the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum.  Here's a press release and her photo is attached.  She quite an interesting woman and gives thoughtful, insightful, and fun interviews.

To the Editor:
Fire Prevention Week was October 7th through 13th.  Please ask your readers to take responsibility in planning and preparing an escape from their home in the event of a fire.  Be sure that smoke alarms are installed inside each bedroom and outside each sleeping area on every level of the home.  Thanks for passing on any information you can.

To the Editor:
I just read the front page of the October Gazette.  My husband and I, both residents of Victoria, got married the day before your son Nick, on September 21st.  Like them, we also honeymooned in Hawaii, where we snorkeled, took a helicopter ride (over a volcano), attended a luau and got some sun on the beach.  Also like them, we met through a dating service, only ours was online at Yahoo!  I enjoyed the coincidences so much I just had to share.
