November 2003 Letters continued

To the Editor:
I have just finished reading Father Elstan's book, Prints of a Priest:  Writings by Father Elstan, and enjoyed it immensely.  I can well understand why the people in Victoria hated to see him leave.  I hope he is enjoying his retirement and that all is going well with him
Thank you so much for putting this book together.  It has brought a lot of reading pleasure to a lot of people.  My brother got it in Michigan somewhere on a trip he and his wife took.  It was an autographed copy, and he brought it up one day and said, "I think you would enjoy this," and I most certainly did.
I will now check out your website for updates on Father Elstan.  He certainly has an interesting writing style.

To the Editor:
Hello, Mother Dearest.  I finally got to reading your latest Gazette, at least the interesting parts.  It is fabulous as usual.  You almost have four years of the paper online now.

To the Editor:
I'd like to clarify some information that was given by the City of Victoria in regard to the upcoming Victoria Chamber of Commerce Home Based Business Expo.  The Expo will be held on Saturday, November 8th, at Victoria City Hall on Rose Street, not at the Victoria Field House.
Also, as a member of the Chamber I'd like to say that the Chamber donated the $5,000 score board for the Field House Gym as a gift to the city.  It was not meant to be in exchange for any free rental days of the gym.  It was simply a gift.

To the Editor:
Hi, Grandma.  I found the fishhook in the Prairie Lawn & Garden ad on page 26 of the last Gazette.  Daddy looked twice and couldn't find it, so Mom had to help.  See you soon.
Love you lots,
Addie Sue

To the Editor:
Turkey Day will soon be here again with a bushel of dressing, mashed potatoes, a keg of gravy, gallons of moo juice, dinner rolls, a profusion of pies, a few munchies.  Almost sounds like dinner with Taunta Fran and Uncle Ray Schmieg.  Lounge on the recliner and get out the tums.  Gobble, gobble.  Happy Thanksgiving, everyone.  Found the fish-hook on page 26.

To the Editor:
A surprise is being planned for our parents, Jim and Kathie Schnell, who used to live in Victoria, and we, the Schnell kids, would like to invite everyone who may know them to participate!  Is it possible for you, Sue, to include this in the next edition of the Gazette and creatively misplace our parent's copy?
We are creating a scrapbook full of pages made by friends and family of our parents.  To join in the surprise 1) the finished page must remind my parents of you, 2) a little note to them should be on the page, 3) nothing larger than 8 ½ x 11", 4) pass this note on to those who might like to participate, 5) limited resources? Email us and we'll use a photo and note from you and decorate a page for you, 6) the deadline is Christmas Eve, and 7) this is a
surprise, so please do not tell our parents.
If anyone would like to contact us, we're at havealittlefaith@juno.com or (407) 330-7896.  Finished pages should be sent to Suzie Schnell, 775 Monroe Harbor Place, Sanford, Florida 32773.  Thank you.

To the Editor:
Would you please change our present address as we would hate to miss even one issue!

To the Editor:
Hi, Sue.  Enjoyed your Alaska escapades in the Gazette.

To the Editor:
Enclosed is $10 for a subscription for Carol Schweizer who misses getting the Gazette.  Recently I have had several people tell me they enjoy my articles.  I appreciate your willingness and freedom to permit me to express my views.  Thanks, Sue.  Keep up the interesting and newsy paper.

To the Editor:
This past evening, October 19th, about 8:30 p.m. we were made aware that something was amiss.  The sound of sirens going down Wisteria (the old tractor road) into Three Rivers Park made us and all the neighbors come out to see what was going on.  There was a big grass fire in the general area where the build-ings once stood, which had been owned by the Lake Auburn Home.
With the great work of the Victoria, Chaska, and St. Bonifacius Fire Depart-ments, the fire was soon put out.  With no rain, everything in this area is very very dry.  However, this area is very remote.  One can only wonder if arson was in-volved.
