numer-ous community activities including the Victoria Chamber of Commerce and the Touch of Bavaria. John has been a multiple-year finalist for the George C. Klein "Service Above Self Award." This recognition is an indi-cation of the type of service John has pro-vided to Carver County and would contin-ue to provide. John Siegfried is our choice for the 3rd District Carver County Commission-er. Thank you, John. Bill and Anne Traxler Victoria, Minnesota
To the Editor: I am a retired long-term Carver County Commissioner. I am joining Donald F. Dahlke, currently retiring Carver County Treasurer, in endorsing Randal C. Eiden as your next Carver County Treasurer. Over the years, I have been witness to the great investment program that Don has implemented for the citizens of Carver County. During Don's tenure, the office has been run in a conservative, efficient, and friendly manner. I have known Randy Eiden all of his life. He has excellent qualifications, is hardworking, and I know that he will con-tinue the excellent service and that he will uphold the integrity of the Carver County Treasurer's Office. Join us in electing Randal E. Eiden as your next Carver County Treasurer. Harold Trende Cologne, Minnesota
To the Editor: Tom Kerber would be a trusted per-son as Carver County Treasurer. Govern-ments are facing deficits; business and private property owners are demanding more services with no tax increases; the investment community is in turmoil. Government needs talented, trust-worthy, tested, and experienced leaders. It could be one of the most challeng-ing financial times that Carver County will ever face. With that as a given, it behooves our voting public this November 5th to select the very best candidate for County Treas-urer. No one seeking this office has the skills and experience for this position as Tom Kerber. His credentials are out-standing and his trustworthiness is im-peccable. Besides all that, he was raised in this county that he loves and wants to see prosper. Tom Kerber should be our next County Treasurer. Dan Herbst Chaska, Minnesota
To the Editor: We have always felt that a keen wit and a good sense of humor are an indica-tioin of high intelligence. Why not couple these attributes with honesty, industrious-ness, and a willingness to be forthright in your opinions? Add these to a willingness to study issues without bias and solve problems and who are we describing? Richard Tieden. The City of Victoria will be well served. Ron and Mary Strom St. Louis Park, Minnesota
To the Editor: I would like to take this opportunity to thank Mayor Mary Meuwissen for the great leadership she has provided the City of Victoria for the past eight years. I think Rick Tieden is the perfect choice to continue the strong leadership we have come to expect from our leaders. I believe Rick will make decisions that will be in the best interest of the entire community. His leadership and ability to listen and gather all the facts are the type that we need in our mayor. I strongly encourage your support of Rick Tieden for the next mayor of Victoria. Rick Stucki Victoria, Minnesota
To the Editor: I write in support of Jerry Bohn for mayor of Victoria. He is a thoughtful, considerate person with a long term view as to what is best for the entire city. His values cannot be compromised, no matter the political pressures. This assessment is based on serving with Jerry on the Victoria City Council for five really great years. Although we did not always agree on a given issue, his demeanor left room for a conflict-free resolution. This level of conduct permit-ted the council to move from issue to issue in a constructive manner. James Paulsen Victoria, Minnesota
To the Editor: I am voting for Jerry Bohn for mayor of Victoria because I believe he will do what needs to be done for the residents of Victoria. Jerry worked hard as a member of the Victoria City Council to bring a much-needed elementary school to our residents. Jerry will work with the school district to turn the 20-acre parcel at Kochia Lane into a shared-use elementary/community center. Jerry has asked the hard questions as a councilmember and as mayor, I believe, that he will deliver answers. Jerry will seek out partnerships with School District #112 and also the right businesses and developers to grow the downtown area. Jerry helped insure that the blueprints for developing our down-town are in place. Jerry Bohn needs your support now to implement those plans. On Tuesday, November 5th, please vote for Jerry Bohn to be our new mayor in Victoria. Trustworthy and talented, this quiet man will deliver big for the residents of our fair city. Thank you. Diane Koban Victoria, Minnesota
To the Editor: I am writing to express my support for Jerry Bohn as the next mayor of Victoria. I believe Jerry, having already served for six years on the Victoria City Council, is the more experienced of the two candidates. He Click here to continue.
