Annual Rummage Sale. The annual huge spring rummage sale at St. Victoria, which is sponsored by Catholic Aid, will be held this year on Thursday, May 17th, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., and on Friday, May 18th, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Happy 60th. The Editor's Mom and Dad are celebrating their 60th wedding anniver-sary with a large gathering of children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren at their home on the beautiful family farm near Ghent, Minnesota, on Sunday, May 20th.
Memorial Day. The Good Samaritan Society of Waconia is inviting the com-munity, this Memorial Day, to celebrate the lives of people who are special to them by sponsoring a memoriam or in-honor American flag for a donation of $10 or more. They will tag your sponsored flag with the name of the individual, then place it with the other flags along the walkway starting on Friday, May 25th, 2007. Your flag will remain up through-out Memorial Day Weekend. A listing of all the sponsored flags will be posted in the lobby of the Care Center and West-view Acres. The Walkway of Flags will be locat-ed in front of the Care Center building right off 5th Street. The public is invited to attend a short dedication ceremony of the Walkway on Memorial Day Monday, May 28th, 2007, at 10 a.m. A reception will follow in the Rosalie Peterson Mem-orial Chapel. If you wish, you may pick up your sponsored flag after the weekend. Dead-line for purchasing a flag is May 18th. All proceeds go to benefit outdoor enhance-ment projects for the Good Samaritan Society of Waconia and Westview Acres. For more information call 952-442-7118.

Victoria Senior Citizens meet weekly on Thursdays at the Acorn House in Diethelm Park.
Victoria City Council meets on the second and fourth Thursday of each month at 6:30 p.m. at the Victoria Hall on Rose Street. There are also special council meetings and workshops scheduled throughout the year.
