Artists of Minnesota Spring Show was held in April at Sugar Lake Lodge in Grand Rapids, MN.  The organization was founded in 1959 to allow Minnesota artists the opportunity to gather, show their work, and network with each other.  This year, Lisa Carlson, Director of Exhibitions for the College of St. Benedict and St. John's University, was asked to judge the show.  In the watercolor category, my painting, The View from Noerenberg Gardens, received a merit award from the judge.  My painting, Onions, was awarded the ribbon for creative excellence, voted upon by the member artists.

Owen G. Hawley arrived on March 13th, 2007, at 11:16 a.m. weighing in at 9 lbs. 7 oz. and 21 1/4" inches long.  Mom, Dad, and Baby are all doing fine.  Grandma Pam may quit Macy's if they won't let her go to the hospital when visiting hours start.  Me?  I cried when I heard Owen crying in the back-ground.
