To the Editor: Keep the Gazette coming. Note new address. I did not move, just having the Gazette come to my home. I will be up in Minnesota in July for the Schwalbe family reunion and Waconia High School Class of 1956. Fifty years! Just a question, if anyone knows where Connie Wier is now, Class of 1952 at Victoria Public School, would you email me at DASHPT@aol.com. I would love to know. I'm enclosing my business card for you, Sue. It's good for a free lunch in High Point. Still having fun training in the field of Agriculture in the USA, worldwide. To the Editor: Did you know that the City of Chaska is currently reviewing proposals to allow 873 homes on two parcels of land border-ing Victoria that is currently zoned for 75 homes? The parcels include 300 acres be-tween Lake Bavaria and the Victoria Field House and 450 acres between Bavaria Road and McKnight Road bordering 82nd Street. These land parcels are zoned as "green belt" to be permanently protected from dense dwelling development and to preserve their significant natural resour-ces. Instead of one home per 10 acres or 75 homes max between these two areas, the City of Chaska is considering chang-ing the zoning ordinance to allow 873 homes. This is over ten times more dwellings than the zoning rules allow. Think Bavaria Road is a busy road-way now? Are you already leaving earlier for work to avoid the Hwy 5 congestion? Consider how a few thousand additional cars making an average of 9.1 trips per day would impact traffic congestion. I would encourage any Victoria residents who have an opinion on this matter to please direct them to Chaska Mayor Gary Van Eyll, Chaska City Councilmembers, and Planning Com-missioners: Chaska City Hall One City Hall Plaza Chaska, MN 55318 Mayor Gary F. Victoria residents, please attend this meeting and express your opinions and concerns. Sandy Krause Victoria, Minnesota
