Letters to the Editor

To the Editor:
I think you pulled two April Fools on us - the front page and no fishhook!  I hope I am correct because I find it each month.  I have been reading your paper since the first edition.  Read it each month from cover to cover.  It's very informative about the area.  Have a good one.

To the Editor:
We are looking forward to Victoria, Pierson Lake, and summer at our cabin.  Love your paper!

To the Editor:
I am so sorry for not getting this off to you earlier, but I have had one battle after another on my health.  Thank you so much for getting and mailing the papers to me the end of September so I could take them with me to the hospital.
I'm sending you $30 for a three-year subscription, plus the $4 for postage on mailing the papers to me in September.  I've had eight hospital trips since Septem-ber and two surgeries.  I'm praying that I finally am going to be on a Recovery Mend.  I have to have more tests and all.
Thank you very much.

To the Editor:
Enjoy seeing and reading all the letters in the Gazette from people I know or have heard of.
Are you playing a trick (an April Fool's joke) on us and not hiding the fishhook in the April Gazette?  If you have, I suppose Kay Meuwissen is on to you before me!!  God bless.

To the Editor:
When we moved to Victoria, I could sit on my patio or deck and hear the birds sing.  I could leave the bedroom window open when I put my children to bed.
For the past several years, since well intentioned neighbors in our community decided to put a fountain in the pond behind my house, a home I purchased to enjoy the tranquility of the pond, I can't escape the roar of the motor and the water pounding.  We even having to shut the windows at night because of the noise.  Now that I can see the darned thing is in the pond again, maybe we could allow for some relief so that I can have a nice quiet evening outside and listen to the birds chirp.
Let's have a city ordinance or rule stating:  "No fountains going after 6:00 p.m.!"  There is enough noise pollution already.  Timers don't work either; they get out of sync.

To the Editor:
Please add to your prayer list Evelyn Goldschmidt, who suffered an apparent stroke and broken arm on Sunday morn-ing after a stay at Waconia Ridgeview.  She's now in Watertown's nursing home, hoping to be moved to Waconia sometime around the weekend.
Also add Myrtle Steward who is hos-pitalized at Ridgeview from Auburn West.  Florence Hubbard is home from Methodist Hospital with a pacemaker but is hoping to go back for hip replacement surgery April 29th.
We also note the passing of Thelma Schwalbe last Sunday a week ago.  Funer-al services were here at Lake Auburn on the 13th
We offer prayers for all in the church's family who are not enjoying the best of health.  And please remember on May 1st we'll conduct a single pass "Joy-ful Noise" offering for your change to support the Jamaican Church's mission to Cuba.  On May 22nd we begin our summer schedule for 9:30 a.m. worship.
Peace and blessings.

To the Editor:
I still use the Gazette story that you wrote on my parents (several years ago) in my classroom to tell their story.  Your friendship means a lot to our family.  Thank you for coming to my mother Hedda's funeral.  God bless.

To the Editor:
I'm looking for information regarding all-city garage sales in the area that your paper serves.  Are you aware of any up-coming?  If so, when and where are they?  Thanks.
