To the Editor: As a fellow member of the Victoria Chamber of Commerce, I would like to inform you of a community event that will be occurring on Saturday, May 17th. On this day, chiropractic offices, local busi-nesses, and community leaders worldwide will be participating in Kids Day Ameri-ca/International. Our office in Victoria will perform free spinal exams and scoliosis screenings and we will distribute information on dis-ease prevention and health promotion. There will be appearances by Cabin Fever Sports, providing information on firearm and water safety, Uncle Mike from Nature's Bounty providing horse and carriage rides, and Bruce Baker, local dentists who will provide valuable screen-ings for kids. The Victoria Fire Department will also be present to teach crucial informa-tion on fire safety. Other activities and educational programs will also be imple-mented. We will also provide free balloons, snacks, and giveaways, along with prize drawings every half hour. Jamy C. Antoine, DC, FICPA Victoria, Minnesota
To the Editor: Happy Mother's Day to all the moms out there who will get showered with flowers, candy, cards, clothes, jewelry, perfume, new appliance gift certificates, and more. Moms who fish can feast on the catch of the day, and swat a few mos-quitoes too, if they find the fishhook on page 38 in the General Ad store. Kay Meuwissen Chaska, Minnesota
To the Editor: We at the French's Company wish to put an end to statements that our product is manufactured in France. There is no relationship, nor has there ever been a relationship, between our mustard and the country of France. Indeed, our mustard is manufactured in Rochester, New York. To the Editor: I meant to write to you a long time ago and thank you for continuing to send us the Victoria Gazette. We enjoy it very much and I read the entire paper. Also wanted to let you know we visited Father Elstan at Springfield on our way home from Florida (little detour!). He hasn't lost his sense of humor and looks good. We had a wonderful visit and lunch out. We also visited the other priests who were there when I was secretary at Holy Childhood in Harbor Springs. It was great. Keep up the good work. You have a special talent. Barbara Ernst Harbor Springs, Michigan
To the Editor: I couldn't believe it! There it was, the fishhook, right across from your Hook, Line & Sinker column in the General Store ad on page 38. I figure if I found it so easily, I'll bet lots of readers did. Good place to hide it on the flower petal. I've seen robins and heard the whistles of a cardinal so I know all the good things about spring will surely follow soon. Our lake is almost clear! Happy grandparenting to you and Al. Mary Jane Ploof Victoria, Minnesota
To the Editor: Hi, Sue. While reading your April issue, we realized it's that time of the year again. Here's our $10 and a big thanks for a great publication from back home. Your articles are always enjoyable, especially your editorial last month regarding terrorism. Right on! Thank you. Jim and Carol Schmidt Phoenix, Arizona
To the Editor: We regret to inform you that John Anderson passed away. His wife, Liz Anderson, has been active with the Victoria Chamber of Commerce and has helped prepare many of the meeting meals.
