Fourth Grade Inventors.  I'm enclosing some Invention Convention photos from the Victoria Elementary School.  The construction process for the inventions began last year in October, 2005.  The Invention Fair was in December, 2005.  All the students presented their inventions to parents and other students in a round robin stop and visit.  Eight students will take their inventions to state competition in March, 2006.
The Invention Convention Students, most of them residents of Victoria, are

Capital Campaigners.  Holy Family Catholic High School in Victoria is excited to have Rich Gannon on board as part of our capital campaign leadership team.  Rich Gannon is a four-time pro bowl quarterback of the Oakland Raiders and the National Football League's 2002 MPV [also a property owner and developer in Victoria].  The campaign aims to raise $10 million to help fund the school's 176,000-square foot facility and 72-acre campus in Victoria.  On behalf of the campaign's leadership team, Gannon announced on January 28th, 2006, that Holy Family had already received $5.1 million in commitments toward their goal.  Joining Rich and Shelley Gannon (photographed on the right) in the position of campaign co-chairs are local attorney Bob Fafinski and his wife Mary of Chanhassen.  The leadership team also includes Archbishop Harry Flynn, Bishop Richard Pates, and Bill and Joan Slattery.

Timberwolves Fans.  Victoria resident Clint Egenes was recognized as the Minnesota Timberwolves Season Ticket Holder of the Game, prior to the Timberwolves game against the Boston Celtics on January 30th at the Target Center.  Clint and his father Dave Lamberton were given the opportunity to sit on the Timberwolves bench during pre-game warm-ups, be introduced before the Target Center crowd with the team, and to interact with Timberwolves players, coaches, and staff.
I have attached a few pictures of Clint and Dave for your use.  Please feel free to use any of these in the Victoria Gazette.  Thank you.
