To the Editor: Just found the fishhook, first time going through to look for it. It's on page 24 in the Sebenaler ad with the Valentine heart. This time it was easy. Hope you have a great time doing this paper. We enjoy it. Really sorry about your diamond but glad there was a happy ending. I try to watch the prongs holding the diamond since I was really close to losing it myself. The jeweler informed me to try and watch it. Len had his second hip operated on. He is counting the days when he can sit behind the wheel of the car. He had the surgery on the 5th of January and it's almost time. I have more running to do and less time to do my own thing. Oh well, it's only a short time. Have a good one. As ever, Ardes Koehnen Victoria, Minnesota
To the Editor: We left the Chaska area 18 years ago and moved to Florida. We have many friends who remain there, and one of them forwarded your web page to us, drawing our attention to the 60th birthday party for Roger Oas. Holly and Roger were very good neighbors and friends of ours over the years. We want to commend you on your excellent website and the photos regarding the various articles. We have forwarded your website address to our two sons so that they may also enjoy the features. Keep up the good work. You are a definite plus to the com-munity. Russ and Opal Olson Florida
To the Editor: Reading Mike Wartman's article about dating , in your Valentine's edition of the Gazette, brought back some mem-ories about our days in the area in the '70's. I agree with Mike that the family ties were a problem at times. But most of us were able to find someone from the area. It's not a surprise that Mike had to go to Wisconsin to find his mate. He had one chance in this area and he should have married my cousin. Mark Theis Chaska, Minnesota
To the Editor: Happy St. Patrick's Day! Spring is just around the corner. Happy 80th birthday to Uncle Ray Schmieg and belated wishes to Tanta Frannie. I saw another 80-year old in last month's "Victoria Moments" and he clowned around a lot in his year. I remember Bingo the Clown every year at the county fair. I guess I'll go fish on page 24, before the spring thaw. Hope everyone gets their fish houses off the lakes in time. Kay Meuwissen Chaska, Minnesota
To the Editor: I was the lucky $10 winner for find-ing the fishhook in the January issue of the Gazette. I'll use it to continue my subscription for myself and my daughter Colette in Arizona. We thoroughly enjoy reading the Gazette. Thanks, Sue. Happy Valentine's Day, everyone. Sally Eiden Chaska, Minnesota
To the Editor: This is in regard to "That's A Lot of Water" by Tom Gray, Victoria Building Official, in last month's Gazette. He writes, "In the winter, our wells pump 300,000 gallons per day to supply the 5,300 odd residents and businesses with water. Victoria will double its population by 2010. That's going to take a lot of water ..." I knew there were a few strange resi-dents in Victoria, but 5,300 odd ones is a little heavy. Russ Olson via email
To the Editor: I am a sixth grade student at Bowling Green Middle School. I am currently in a Current Issues class. We are working on a project that deals with newspapers from around the United States. I am to write a letter to whom I want to get a newspaper from. It does not need to be a current one, but maybe from a week or two ago. I am interested in your newspaper. You can mail the Gazette to the school. Thank you for your time. Ethan Olson Bowling Green, Missouri
To the Editor: Understand there was an article about the Deer Run Men's Club demise in a recent issue of the Gazette. Having been a member of it for 13 years, I would like to know what it says. I tried accessing it in the February Gazette but could not find it. Would appreciate it if you could help me find it. I'm currently out of town for a number of weeks so if you could send it by email I'd really appreciate it. Thanks in advance. Harold Freeman via email
