Letters to the Editor

To the Editor:
Thank you so much for "inventing" a page to present my poem and "Angels."  You truly are an inspiring delightful per-son.  Also, I was awed by your description of "the accident."  I am so grateful to God, angels, and Father Elstan for keeping you in our midst.  And, as always, your front page was a great story from my favorite editor.
My friend Norie, a pastoral minister at Our Lady of the Lake in Mound, asked me for a subscription to your wonderful Gazette.  So find $10 enclosed for her subscription.  Thanks for everything.
Love,
Joan Clarno "Wonka," Minnetonka, Minnesota

To the Editor:
Ours is part of a complex story that has the potential for a long and costly lawsuit.  Let's be clear.  The communica-tion problem with the city is not a result of our failing to return calls to the city.  The problem is that the city has repeatedly failed to act on our concerns.
The Nelsons, Smithtown Terrace, Victoria, Minnesota

To the Editor:
Just wanted to let you know that the reasons the Nelsons didn't respond to city calls last month was that they were out of town.  City Planner Mark Kaltsas and I met with Mr. Nelson at his home a few weeks ago and charted a course of action to meet their concerns.  We look forward to working with them in the future.  I thought it was important to clear up the issue regarding our attempts to communi-cate with them.
Steve Sarvi, City Administrator, Victoria, Minnesota

To the Editor:
I am in the sixth grade at Magelssen Elementary School.  My class is doing grad standard packages for school plus an Internet project, too.  We are sending letters to different newspapers around the state.  I was wondering if you could send me one of your papers.  Thank you.  It would be very nice for you to send me one of your papers.
Sincerely yours,  --
Christopher Venem, Fosston, Minnesota

To the Editor:
On behalf of the American Red Cross, the community of Victoria is to be commended for its dedication and volun-teerism toward the bloodmobile on Janu-ary 28th.  A total of 98 caring people showed up to donate 88 pints of blood.  There were 5 deferrals and 5 incomplete donations.
Special thanks to our recruitment callers, those who helped the day of the draw, St. Victoria, Marge Robling, the Victoria Lions, Chaska McDonald's, and the following donors who hit milestones:
Kathy Sether and Tony Vogel, three gallons; Tom Sohns, four gallons; Fran Vanderlinde, seven gallons; and Joni Jeurissen, first time donor.
Congratulations to all donors.  You are the heroes and real success of any bloodmobile.
Susan Hines/Kathy Sether, Victoria Bloodmobile Coordinators

To the Editor:
Please put me on the list for a sub-scription to the Victoria Gazette.  I used to see it regularly but no longer get it.  However, last week a copy arrived.  I read it all and I loved it, and wondered why I was no longer getting it.  Enclosed is my $10 check.  Please send me the paper.  Thank you. -- Lucie K. Hartley, Carver, Minnesota

EDITOR'S NOTE:  Any change in address without notification to me results in lack of delivery by the U.S. Post Office.  Glad you're back on my list, Lucie Hartley!

To the Editor:
I'm still without my right hip so I am very glad when the Gazette comes.  It has some very good reading material.  Be sure and keep it up.  Thank you.  Carol Maas, St. Bonifacius, Minnesota

To the Editor:
I'm so glad you were spared during your near fatal car accident.
Jo Mihelich, Waconia, Minnesota

To the Editor:
I'm renewing my subscription for the Victoria Gazette for another year.  I like Jesse's poems and your stories of couples, some of which are so romantic.  Is your husband romantic?  You need not answer that question.  I probably won't call you instead of my mom this year to wish you a Happy Easter.  I do wish you a Happy Easter, too.
Delores Goodridge, El Cajon, California

To the Editor:
Our friends gave us a subscription to The Victoria Gazette as a gift a year ago.  We like it so well that we want to renew the subscription.  Enclosed is a $10 check.
Tom and Arlene Jensen, Chaska, Minnesota

To the Editor:
Please continue my subscription to the Victoria Gazette.  I look forward to it every month.  Enclosed is my check.  Thank you.
Jean Verkennes, Sun Lakes, Arizona
