The editor's two favorite cowboys.  Normally when you squeeze a cowboy, their eyes bulge, but not this time, as you can see.  That's Tom Stumpf, author in residence, and Father Bob White, priest in residence, at the annual Volunteer Appre-ciation Dinner at Island View Dining in Waconia.  It was one of many occasions in which to mark and celebrate the 150-year anniversary of St. Victoria.  Thank you, Kim Heenie, for another excellent meal.  ~Editor Sue

The Celebration of Excellence Gala that honored exemplary teachers and employees in the Minnetonka School District was held on May 10th at the Arts Center of the Minnetonka High School.  Twelve teachers and 11 other staff members were among those honored, including Myles Ginther of Victoria.  Coach Myles Ginther has connected with student athletes on the football field and, for the last three years, his love of the game and dedica-tion to his students brought him back to the field as a volunteer coach.  He reminds players that determination, hard work, and a positive attitude will pay off in the end.
