Letters to the Editor

To the Editor:
We had fun looking for the fishhook!  We saw it sitting sneakily in the saucer on page 24.  We would like to subscribe to the Gazette so we're sending along $10.  Great paper.

To the Editor:
I just read about your travels to Amsterdam and Belgium and all that.  I think you should put everything in a book.  If Hillary can make money on a book, you sure could double and double and double over her.

To the Editor:
I would like to thank Father Bob, everyone who brought food, flowers, sent cards, visited, brought Communion, and prayed for me.  A very special thanks to my precious daughters, relatives, neigh-bors, and friends who were always there for me during my two-year battle.  With your continued love and prayer, I am optimistic my cancer will remain in remission.  God bless everyone.
Love,

To the Editor:
Enjoyed your Dutch Treat pictures.  We seem to have missed, however, any shots of the black bra.

To the Editor:
Your Dutch Treat pictures on your website were absolutely gorgeous.  If people have not yet viewed them, I would encourage them to do so.  Makes a person want to go there.
Can you ensure that the following information gets into the next issue of the Gazette?
The American Red Cross Blood-mobile will be at the Chaska VFW located on County Road on Monday, June 7th.  Hours for blood donations are 12:30 to 6:30 p.m.  If you have questions, please call Linda Worm at 952-448-3815.
Thanks, Sue.

To the Editor:
We were deeply saddened to learn of the death of Theresa Derhaag.  You did, as usual, a great article on her and her husband.  Was this sudden or had she been ill for some time?
The Reverend Thomas Thierolf, our son in law, was named chaplain to the Lebanon, Pennsylvania, Police Depart-ment.
Also, we were delighted to see the photo of the little Belgian boy in your Dutch Treat photos online.  My cousin Milton J. Holtmeier was a career army man and was stationed in Europe during World War II and sent home a small golden statue of this same little boy taking a pee onto the German swastika.  I am envious of you as you got to see the ori-ginal statue and all we got was a replica.

To the Editor:
Mom's Day is past and now it's Dad's Day coming up.  Dads don't want tea; they'd rather have Diet Pepsi or Apricot Schnapps.  Fishing?  Maybe cow pasture pool.
The squirrels are sure greedy.  They get the "blue plate" special before the birds.  Once I bought a tube feeder and filled it with birdseed.  But as I filled it up again later, I saw that the bird seed was dumping into my shoes.  The squirrels had chewed a hold the size of a silver dollar into my twelve-dollar feeder!  I found a wooden feeder, and the squirrels were still greedy but they couldn't bite through the plexi-glass window.
Happy Father's Day to all dads.

To the Editor:
It is time to update the Chanhassen Residents' Guide, which provides area residents with a variety of information concerning services and activities within their community.  This useful guide is updated on an annual basis.  It is then published and distributed in September-October.
To make the guide as accurate as possible and therefore useful as possible, we ask your help.  Enclosed is informa-tion about the Victoria Gazette as it appeared in last year's guide.  Please update the information and return the information to us.  If you think something should be added, suggest as much to us.  Remember, this editorial content is pub-lished at no charge.
Thank you.
