Picnics for the public happen often in the parking lot area of the Victoria State Bank.  Oops!  It has been known as KleinBank of Victoria for some time now.  A name change has not affected the courteous service, banking needs, generous lunches, and a host of other small town amenities offered at THE BANK in Victoria.  On Friday, June 22nd, KleinBank held their latest Summer Picnic.  The hotdogs were fresh and delicious.  In this year of 2007, KleinBank is celebrating 100 Grand Years.  Festivities are in the planning stages!
Malcolm and Lois MacAlpine of Victoria, on the left, enjoy conversation with Jim Emmer (with the cap) of Victoria, Business Development Officer at KleinBank, and Eric Fuchs, Mortgage Lender at KleinBank of Victoria, as they served the customers.

Jerry Michel of Victoria and Merlyn Wanous, formerly of MidCounty Coop in Victoria, stopped by for midday for food and refreshment.

Bill and Donna Schneider of Victoria brought some of their grandchildren to the Bank Picnic, and also their daughter Paula Ward of Chanhassen who snapped this picture when the editor sat in her place at the table for a minute.

The Ladies Table included
(l-r) Beatrice Mechtel of Victoria, Laura Worm of Chaska, Kim Ische of the Victoria House, Jane Michel of Victoria, and Mary Neubarth of Victoria and longtime employee at KleinBank.

Past and Present.  Your online Founders Day album page is spectacularly sincere!  Thank you for reflecting, in image and word, the spirit of generations past and present here at St. Victoria.  I would love to offer a link on our website (www.stvictoria.net) to your online album.  Would that be okay?  A link to your site would be a beautiful complement.
Also, I'm emailing you the charming shot of you and my dad.  I'm glad that you got to chat a little that morning (Monday, Mem-orial Day).  Dad always asks about you and often compliments the fine writing you did for them way back in September of 2004 with the Gazette's feature, "The Hilltop Farm."  I have a copy of it on the farm bench in my dining room, and every time Dad comes to visit me, he always picks it up and reads it as if for the very first time.  You have a timeless way of capturing the poetry of people's lives.  Thank you for sharing that which comes from your heart.  Have a swell afternoon.

Bye Bye Bullies.  The National Theatre for Children and its Bye Bye Bullies! show came to the Victoria Elementary School in May as part of its premier tour.  In this photo we see National Theatre for Children actors Katie Melby and Eric Avery bring a VES student up on stage during the Bye Bye Bullies! performance.  The performance en-courages students to recognize and prevent bullying behavior and create a comfortable learning environment for everyone at school.
