To the Editor: Hi, Sue. I know how much you love to do articles on people in Victoria. Just wanted to let you know that a very special little girl named Tia Schmieg is getting all of her hair cut off tomorrow and donating it to Locks of Love. She decided that all on her own and thought it would be a great story for the upcoming Gazette. Aleta Mechtel Victoria, Minnesota
To the Editor: We need special prayers for Larry and Norma Christianson and their family. Grandson Wesley was diagnosed today in Madison's Children's Hospital with leukemia, a treatable form but leukemia nonetheless. Meanwhile, his mother Mary, Andy's wife, is in labor with son #2. Great grandparents (Don and Dorothy and Bernice and Wesley Mickelson), grandparents (Flemings and Christian-sons) as well as the aunts and uncles would also benefit from your thoughts and prayers. Pass the word to those you know who also care. Thanks. Pastor Frank Jones Lake Auburn Moravian Church Victoria, Minnesota
To the Editor: Southwest Christian High School, Chaska, is looking for gently used furni-ture such as Lay-Z-Boys, armchairs, sofas, or coffee tables for the Student Lobby. If you have any of these items and are willing to donate them, or have a connection with someone who could help us out, or your workplace is replacing current furniture, you are invited to call the SWCHS office at 952-556-0040. Thanks so much for considering helping our school. Gina Eaton Chaska, Minnesota
To the Editor: Hi, Sue. If memory serves me, you asked that I email the blood drive infor-mation to you, assuming that you are willing to get the word out for us again. Your efforts are very much appreciated. Please respond that you received this email and also if you will disburse the information. The Victoria Bloodmobile will be held on Monday, July 25th, 2005, from 1:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Victoria Field House. Walk-ins are welcome. Free childcare is available. For an appoint-ment call Susan at 952-443-2644 or Kathy at 952-44302088. Thanks for your help. Wishing you a great day. Susan Hines Victoria, Minnesota
To the Editor: The playground structures are being constructed out at Diethelm Park and Lions Park. God willing (and if it ever stops raining), they should be ready for play before or just after July 4th. Keep your fingers crossed, with a few prayers, so we can get it in before the 4th! Steve Sarvi, Administrator City of Victoria
To the Editor: Hi. Nan Emmer thought you might know … Is there any strawberry picking relatively near Victoria? Karrie Shroyer Victoria, Minnesota
