Nicole Berger, 18
1205 - 79th Street
Victoria, MN 55386
Graduate of Chaska High School.
Parents.  John Berger, a lumberman, and Darlene Berger, a registered nurse.
Plans.  "I plan on attending the University of Minnesota, Duluth campus.  I want to be a high school Social Studies teacher."
#1)
Best high school teacher(s).  "Paul Swanson, my band director, was one of two of the best teachers I have had.  Mr. Swanson was fun and taught us not only about music but about life in general.
"Larry Bachman was my World History teacher my freshman year.  He was fun and energetic about history.  The way he taught got me interested in history.  Now I just love history and want to learn more."
#2)
Excited/nervous about college.
"I am excited to meet new people, learn new stuff, and have more freedom.  Some things that make me nervous are meeting new people, and wondering if I will be successful in my classes."
#3)
Envision life at 30.  "I hope by the time I am 30 I have accomplished many things.  For instance, I want to have my teaching degree and a job in my field.  I also would like to be married and have a home."
#4)
A million dollar gift.  "I would put three-quarters of it in the bank or in-vest it somehow.  The rest I would spend on my car and clothes, and I would take my friends and family out for dinner."
#5)
To young children.  "I would tell children today to be careful of drugs, of course, but also just use common sense and don't put yourself in a possibly dangerous situation."
#6)
Learned in high school.  "High school taught me how to get along with other people.  Everyone needs to deal with authority and get along with people even if you don't like them."
#7)
Your best qualities.  "I think I am nice, smart, and fun to hang around with."
#8)
What others would say. "Others would probably say that I am nice, smart, and fun to hang around with also."
#9)
Your parents.  "I have learned a lot from my parents.  They taught me how to be a good person and an effective mem-ber of society, and how to be healthy.  The best advice they gave me is "everything in moderation."  I admire both of my parents' strength and character."
#10)
Impressive people.  "I really admired Paul Wellstone.  Wellstone was very strong in his ideas.  He stuck to his beliefs and didn't change and I admire that.  Even if I don't agree with every-thing someone says, I still admire them for being strong and intelligent."
