Are you hooked on New Year's Resolutions? Me, too. Always have been. It's a way to be reminded of our imperfections. Sorta helps balance all that building self-esteem business. Last year I used my Certified Person-al Trainer downstairs in our exercise room, about a half hour every day, until at least April or May - which is better than until February or March. It's a fancy treadmill that measures heart rate, calories, fat calories, distance walked, laps, speed, and miles. I can set it on a power incline but I don't because I don't like to walk uphill. What's the sense of torturing myself? It's a ten-speed and I normally remain at 3.5 for the entire 30 minutes. I don't like to run. I watch TV while I walk straight and steady, which helps the time move a little faster. This year I resolve to also walk a half hour every day until at least April or May, just like last year. Obviously I already know it's possible. I believe in possibili-ties. And I believe that many of you can find the fishhook hidden in this issue of the Gazette. There's never been a month in all these many years that dozens of you haven't found it in each and every issue of the Gazette. Way to go! Last month Terri Koivisto had her name drawn from the minnow bucket to win the ten bucks. Congratulations, Terri. The fishhook was located on page 2 in the candy cane of the Mackenthun's Meats and Deli ad. If you want your name included in next month's drawing, find the fishhook, drop a line to the Gazette (P.O. Box 387, Victoria, MN 55386) telling of its loca-tion and sinker in the mail. If you're hooked on resolutions, good luck in the New Year.
