To the Editor: I remember Tommy Notermann at the old Juba's Super Valu at Shakopee, Mom's favorite store. After Mom died 16 years ago, I came across an old purse with an old Juba's shopping list and those blue and red bargain tokens in a satchel she made. At least two dozen tokens Mom had in that old purse. One year Mom and Dad won the anniversary cake. It was their 40th in 1987. Mom and her best friend Clara (Toots) Myers dressed up as a bride and groom. I was the photographer. They posed in the bakery standing by the buns. When the picture was developed, we saw that Toots was standing on the bride's veil. Happy New Year! The fishhook is on page two. Kay Meuwissen Chaska, Minnesota
To the Editor: The building that once was known as the Lake Auburn Home for the Aged run by the Moravians and later became a home for wayward boys run by a Baptist group is being demolished. As of today, November 30th, several of the dormers have been removed, exposing rafters that have not seen light since 1928. Uncle Ron Holtmeier Victoria, Minnesota
To the Editor: Hi, Sue. We are presenting this new concept for the Victoria Creamery site to the Economic Development Authority, Planning Commission, and City Council this month. We are excited about this plan and believe it is consistent with what the city envisions for downtown Victoria. We wanted you to have the illustrations electronically so we are sending you a pdf file. Mary Meuwissen and Barbara Zadeh Victoria, Minnesota
To the Editor: In the recent December Gazette, there was an article titled Considering Water Rates in Victoria. The discussion was around the minimum quarterly bill as based upon the service connection size. There was a sentence that indicated a single family residential home pays $25 per quarter. In actuality, the very minimum bill for a one-inch or smaller service connection is $30. I just wanted to share this with you so as to clarify this for the residents so there isn't any confu-sion. If anyone has any further questions, please contact City Hall at 952-443-2363. Dave Urbia, City Administrator Victoria, Minnesota
EDITOR'S NOTE: The main gist of the article was related to the $700 quarterly water charge paid by Victoria's new Waterbrooke Fellowship project, a church that doesn't use the amount of water that is used by a single family home. That is the confusing part that needs further clari-fication. I believe the minimum water charge in Victoria was $25 per quarter until the increase in 2005.
To the Editor: If you would, please, with your vast knowledge of the Web, give me the addresses of the Pulitzer Prize site and the Emmy Award site, I would like to nomin-ate you to both sites for your December article on the Notermanns and for your December editorial concerning your grandchildren. You are truly worthy of national recognition. Blessings. Howard Wigfield Shakopee, Minnesota

To the Editor: I received the package that you sent me with the Victoria Gazette in it. Thank you so much. I really appreciate your help. And thanks for connecting me with Mary Moore. What a wonderful surprise to find that she is a distant relative. Jim Stangel Saskatchewan, Canada
To the Editor: We certainly enjoy reading about your family and travels in the Gazette. We have booked our trip to Alaska and your email to the classmates helped to convince us that we didn't want to miss the opportunity to go with people we know. The pictures that you provided of your trip at the Sue's Album click were wonderful. Wish you could join us but we do understand your not wanting to go again so soon after your trip up there.
