To the Editor: How can I get a copy of the most recent issue of the Gazette, which listed the Honor Roll for Holy Family High School students? I would also like to sub-scribe to the Gazette. What's the next step? Email me back. Kim Terning Via email
To the Editor: Hi, Sue. Wow! What a great article, "There's No Place Like Home." You really captured the mood and charm of the Deer Run Golf Club. Your summary sen-tence was perfect -- Deer Run Golf Club and Victoria are an ideal fit. Thanks for including my family and the photo of our staff at Deer run. I'm very lucky to have all of them in my life. Keep it up. I hope you're planning on publishing the Gazette for many more years. Merry Christmas. Tom Abts Deer Run Golf Pro Victoria, Minnesota
To the Editor: I'm forwarding something to you that I received in regard to so many people not referring to God anymore. Recently Bill O'Reilly of Fox News has been arguing that we need to say Merry Christmas rather than Happy Holiday. It's at the point where retailers only say Happy Holiday rather than Merry Christmas. I expect the ACLU is helping to put Christianity in the backroom of this country. I have no problem with people of other religions celebrating their holidays so why should they reduce the joy of ours? It's about time we all take a stand. Wish everyone a Merry Christmas every year no matter where we are - a retail store, on the street, or from your home. Ellis Thomas Chanhassen, Minnesota
To the Editor: Last evening's production at St. Victoria was outstanding, as usual. We rarely miss those concerts. I was pleasantly surprised to see six of my Chaska High School Class of 1948 there. I am sure you know some of them … Mary Hammer Burkhart and her husband Bob from the Class of 1947, Mary Ann Jeurissen Ohnsorg, Alice Kerber Leuthner, Judy Kerber Hennen, Bert Young (our class president), and yours truly, Ron Holtmeier. There were 54 of us who graduated in 1948. Alas, 12 have passed on. Ron Holtmeier Victoria, Minnesota
To the Editor: Hi, Sue. My name is Matt Finnegan from St. Croix Recreation. I had the honor of working with the City of Vic-toria and Mark Kaltsas on the playgrounds that were done this summer. Mark had told me there was an article about them in the Gazette. Can you please tell me which edition it was in? Thanks much. Matt Finnegan St. Croix Recreation Xtreme Play Equipment
To the Editor: That's a great article. You did a nice job with the pictures as well. It looks like people are enjoying the parks. Thanks again. Matt Finnegan St. Croix Recreation Xtreme Play Equipment
To the Editor: The CAP Agency's Hope for the Holidays Project will conclude on Decem-ber 13th and 14th as families come to the St. Victoria Catholic Church to pick up their gifts. Over 1,000 families have been sponsored. I thought maybe you might be interested in coming to the church around 2 p.m. on December 13th to see all the presents and perhaps talk with the project coordinator, Linda Shelton. I think there would be some good photo shots. Thank you for your support. Carol Van Dyke, CAP Agency Public Relations Manager Scott-Carver-Dakota Counties
To the Editor: Have you any extra copies of the December Gazette? The Post Office is out and so is the gas station. Can I get the Deer Run feature story online to reprint? I stopped by your house today. There's a Christmas card in your drop box. Talk soon. Nan Emmer Victoria, Minnesota
To the Editor: Please find details attached for Holy Family's Winter Open House on Monday, January 9th. With residents from your distribution area attending our school, we were hoping you could help us pass this information on to families through the upcoming issues of your newspaper so that interested readers have a heads-up about the event, which occurs quickly after the holiday season. Thank you for all you do to promote our school. Katie Burke, HFCHS Director of Communications Victoria, Minnesota
