"Happy Millennium!" For the first time in its 20-year history, The Victoria Gazette is changing its advertising rate. Since 1979, which is the birth year of the Gazette, display ads have been priced at $2.50 per column inch. Only corn, wheat, and hogs have remained cheaper -- which is why farmers are leaving the scene.. Soooooo, I have finally decided to raise the rate to $3/column inch, which is still markedly (and marketly) below that of other papers with comparable audience and circulation.
