So I'm sitting at my kitchen counter with Lloyd and Susie Bonkoski, and we're enjoying lots of conversation and laughs and a grilled ham and cheese sandwich with chips. Nothing too fancy ever at my house, and almost always meat and potatoes. And we're talking about Lloyd's favorite fishing spot on Lake Minnetonka, which is where he had hoped to be that afternoon with a fishing pole in his hand instead of at my kitchen counter watching me push a pen across a yellow tablet. Without blinking he responds to every question of mine as though he's going to get an A+ if he answers it cor-rectly. Most astounding is that this avid fisherman told me where his favorite fish-ing hole is on Lake Minnetonka, down to the last detail. I kept eating the potato chips and mixing a good chew of sandwich with a good chomp of dill pickle. All of a sudden Lloyd's eyes became wide and he sat back with his mouth open and nothing coming out of it. His wife Susie had just pointed out to him what he did, that he did what fishermen don't do, tell where the fish are located. I relieved his fears immediately and promised I would never tell another living soul about that particular corner of that particular bay on Lake Minnetonka. I'm good at keeping promises and secrets. At this time I keep another promise to tell you where the fishhook was hidden in the last issue of the Gazette and who wins the $10 for having her name drawn in this Hook Line & Sinker Contest. The fishhook was hidden on page 29 in the right door on the building of the Edward Jones ad. And the winner is Helen Schimmelpfennig of Fish Creek, Wisconsin. Congratulations, Helen. You've been a monthly trooper for years and years in finding that elusive fishhook. It's high time you win again! If you find the fishhook hidden in this issue of the Gazette, drop a line to Box 387 in Victoria, MN 55386 and sinker in the mail. Maybe your name will be drawn and maybe it won't. But I promise to tell you all about it next month. As for where the fish are on Lake Minnetonka, what are you talking about?
