To the Editor: Your photos and captions of Adeline are wonderful. Two and one-half days is a long time to be in labor, but I bet Jenny forgot all about that the second she laid eyes upon Adeline. Adeline is in for a lot of lovin', that's pretty obvious. With the guidance of wonderful parents and grand-parents to raise her in a God loving home, there is no doubt she will grow up strong and beautiful. With her given name, I bet you'll be singing a certain song to her many times: Sweet Adeline/My Adeline/At night, dear heart/For you I pine; In all my dreams/Your fair face beams/You're the flower of my heart, Sweet Adeline. She is a beautiful gift from God. Handle with care. And as my favorite funny man, Steven Wright, said, "I was born Caesarean. Everything is alright and normal; except that when I leave a house, I tend to go out through a window." --Tom Gray, Victoria, Minnesota
To the Editor: I am Caron Young, Deanna's mom, and I am so very happy for you and your entire family. What a miracle and bless-ing. I have six grandchildren and they are so wonderful. Congratulations on your first. I am certain you will experience this again; however, I sincerely hope it is a little easier next time. Adeline is beauti-ful. Thanks so much for making it possi-ble for us to see her and Chris and Jenny online in Sue's Album. Enjoy yourself. It is just the best! My friends are like umbrellas/Fending off the hail of life's hurts. Like a hard hat for the soul/They keep me safe Caron Young, Lino Lakes,Minnesota
To the Editor: I just love the album pages you have put up, first of the baby's room and then of Jenny and Addie. You have such a gift. Your prose brought tears to my eyes. Congratulations. And thanks so much for taking the time out of your crazy schedule to share these precious photos. Jenny's roommate at Carleton … --Terry Johnson Akse, Colorado Springs, Colorado
To the Editor: Hi, Sue. I visited your online photo gallery. You're way too young to be a grandma! Adeline is beautiful, and I love the name. Congratulations! Although I wasn't in church when my water broke (for my firstborn), he was four weeks early and labor went on for 36 hours and ended in a C-section -- so I can definitely feel for Jenny. As you probably know, last Sunday was National Sanctity of Human Life Sunday. It is such a joy to celebrate a new little life. I have often enjoyed meditating on this verse from Psalm 139: 13-16 ... "For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fear-fully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place. When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be." Enjoy your new granddaughter. --Gina Eaton, Victoria, Minnesota
To the Editor: Congratulations on the greatest gift of all, a grandchild! Adeline is an impres-ive and adorable first, indeed. And what a darling gift Sue's storybook is. Thank you for sharing. And best of all to all your family as you begin this newest chapter. A real miracle. --Chris Morrison, Wayzata, Minnesota
To the Editor: I am a friend of Jenny's from Carleton College and one of the students who traveled and studied with her at Cambridge. I just wanted to tell you that I thought the web page you designed was really sweet. Congratulations on your little Sweet Adeline. --Jessica Griffith, St. Paul, Minnesota
To the Editor: Your first grandchild looks great. Best wishes to parents and grandparents. By the way, we haven't received your January issue of the Gazette. Life's not complete without it. Jim and Barb Larkin, Placida, Florida
To the Editor: Congratulations, Sue and Al and Jenny and Chris! What a wonderful new granddaughter you have. Thanks for sharing your pictures and news with everyone. That first grandchild is always something special. Good health and blessings to everyone. --Dave and Marlene Speltz, Victoria, Minnesota
To the Editor: My very best congratulations to the happy grandparents, Sue and Allan, and of course to Jenny and Chris with their sweet Adeline. I have seen the nice pictures of Baby's Room on your website, pleasantly decorated, and there is a nice cross near the child's bed of young Adeline. Also in the U.S. Happy with you. Father Ferdinand Jennen, Hasselt, Belgium
