To the Editor:
Hi, Sue.  I was wondering if I could get the photos you took last month at the Emerald Crest Grand Opening for my files.  If possible, could you email them to me?  Thanks.

To the Editor:
Thanks for the newsy November issue of the Gazette.  Thanks for using the pictures of the old St. Victoria Grade School and the write-up about my 50th.  My parents were always very pleased when they saw pictures of the family in your paper.
Happy Thanksgiving to you, your family, and all the readers of the Victoria Gazette.  I have lots to be thankful for this past year.  I can walk after back surgery, even though some people wondered if I would ever walk again.
Thanks for your ministry of a great paper.  Such talent and you use it well.

Holy Family senior student runner Bria Wetch made her final decision of intent for college to run for Oregon.  As Holy Family's first athlete to be recruited for a Division I full scholarship, we are very excited about her success.

To the Editor:
Hey, Sue!  Hope that you and your family are doing great.  Cannot believe that it is Thanksgiving already next week.  Time flies.  Anywho, I think that I found the fishhook on page 12, being part of Nature's Bounty ad for the Perfect Gift.  It is part of the scissor blade.  So if this is correct, please throw my name into the minnow bucket.  I wish you and your family a wonderful Thanksgiving.  Enjoy, and God bless.

To the Editor:
Just want to say thank you for all of your good work.  You are a jewel (but not a diamond yet, ha ha).  Please put the address of that fabulous author priest and, more importantly, friend in your December issue.  Would be fun to fill his mailbox with greetings.  Have a joyous Christmas season.  Look out 2006!  The Victoria Gazette is ready for you!

Hi, Sue.  Found the fishhook in the scissors in the Nature's Bounty ad.  Took me three times going through the paper.

To the Editor:
Choosing a garbage hauler is a roll of the dice.  The best you can hope for is timely service and consistent pricing - which is why I was surprised, with seven haulers in the City of Victoria competing for business, at the response from one hauler to a price inquiry.
Earlier this year a fuel surcharge was added by many haulers in response to spiked prices.  Now that prices are stabil-izing, it might be reasonable to assume that surcharges would  be removed.  When I asked this question, one hauler responded with a concise "No."  When told it may make the difference between switching to another carrier, the response floored me.  "I don't give a s#@t what you do!"  Then they hung up.
Suffice to say, if one business cares this little about their customers, little effort is needed to find a business that does.  And so it became.  After shopping the various haulers, I found a better rate and some sense of appreciation that I called.
Moral of the story:  Take care of your customers or someone else will.

To the Editor:
Hi, Sue.  I am sending you an adver-tisement that I would like to put in the December issue of the Victoria Gazette.  If it's too late for December, please place it in January.  How should I pay for this?  It's a 5-inch by 5" advertisement.  It's my husband's business.  His name is Adam Schuster.  Thanks.

To the Editor:   Hi, Sue.  The Olson Half-Dozen is sending our holiday greeting to you and all your readers.  As the Sheriff of this great county, I have hopes and prayers that you all take the time to share the peace of this glorious season.  I have such fond memories of this time of year.  Whether with my family or friends, it is a time to share the gifts of warmth and love.  May the holiday season be filled with the joy of our lives, remembering those who cannot be home for the holidays, including our service men and women.  God bless.
