Letters continued

To the Editor:
On behalf of the Citizens' Campaign, we extend a sincere thank you for the tre-mendous support to the voters who passed the District 112 Referendum.  We also thank the hundreds of volunteers who came forward to help the effort.  These individuals made phone calls, gave pre-sentations, put up lawn signs, wrote letters, and held neighborhood informa-tion meetings so people were able to make informed decisions.  The children of our District will benefit from the YES vote that was cast on November 4th.  Thank you for letting them know that Kids Still Count.

To the Editor:
As families and individuals in Scott, Carver, and Dakota counties continue to reach out to the CAP Agency for help, we at the CAP Agency reach out to the com-munity.
Our annual Give Where You Live Campaign began November 19th and runs through January 31st, 2004.  Each year we are gratified by the generosity of the local community as you support us in the work that we do for families in need.
The food shelf now serves an average of 40 to 50 families daily.  Over 3,000 residents have applied for Energy Assis-tance since October 1st.  Approximately 390 meals are served at Senior Dining sites and 160 meals are delivered to homebound seniors each day.  Crisis care placements are arranged for 60 to 70 children from 40 families each month.  This is a sampling of the services provid-ed through the CAP Agency to over 18,000 residents each year.
Contributions to the Campaign can be sent to:  CAP Agency, 712 Canterbury Road South, Shakopee, MN 55379.  Thank you for your ongoing support to the community.
