by Jesse Coghill Poet farmer from Jordan
The world is one gigantic rhyme, With rising sun and passing time, Summer green, winter cold, Budding spring, autumn gold.
Moonglow lights the sky at night, Stars wink and dance with fair delight, Soft breezes whisper through the pines, Another one of nature's rhymes.
Bumper crops that feed the world, Old Glory with her flag unfurled, Lovers walking down the street, The sound of soldiers' marching feet.
All of this must work in sync, From what we eat to what we think, From goods and services we need, To protection from world greed.
As we expand our growing girth And take it all for what it's worth, Let's not forget the Poet Great As His coming we await.
