Carver County Fair.  August 8th through 12th in Waconia.  Five days of fun, food, entertainment, excitement, exhibits, rides, the midway, petting zoo, bingo, card tournament, rodeo, demolition derby, semi-truck pull, talent contest, horse shows, cattle shows, food vendors galore, magic show, and the list goes on.

Sunset Fest.  This tenth annual outdoor celebration at the 150-year old St. Vic-toria Catholic parish will be celebrated on Saturday, August 18th, with Mass at 5:00 p.m. with Archbishop Harry Flynn. 

Victoria Lions Golf Classic.  Monday, August 27th, at the Deer Run Golf Club for those who register by August 20th.  Tee off for humanitarian causes.

Plastic Garden PotsAs of July 18th, the Carver County Environmental Center, located at 116 Peavey Circle in Chaska, has added plastic gardening pots to is list of acceptable recycling items.  (They must be cleaned of soil before being accepted.)  Upon collection they will be ground by a portable plastic grinder and used to make other plastic products such as plastic lumber. 

Farmer's Market.  Every Thursday from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Water Street in Downtown Excelsior.

Victoria Lions meet the second and fourth Wednesday of each month at the Victoria Hall on Rose Street at 6:30 p.m.

Victoria Chamber of Commerce meets on an irregular basis.

Victoria Senior Citizens meet weekly on Thursdays at the Acorn House in Diethelm Park.

Victoria City Council meets on the second and fourth Thursday of each month at 6:30 p.m. at the Victoria Hall on Rose Street.  There are also special council meetings and workshops scheduled throughout the year.

Victoria Toastmasters meet the second and fourth Thursdays at 7:00 p.m.
