Town Cop at Thistle Hall.  This time of the year many homeowners are doing landscape improvements and sealcoating driveways here in Victoria.  It is getting more difficult to complete these projects in Victoria with some of the staff we have at City Hall.  Last week, as our townhouse association was sealcoating our eight driveways, we moved our vehicles to the other side of the street so the trucks and people doing the work had access to our driveways.  It didn't take long before the town cop came by and told us we had to move our vehicles back to the driveway side of our street and let the construction people work around the cars.
The reason I'm sending you the enclosed the pictures is earlier that morning I was traveling north on Rose Street in downtown Victoria to its junction with Stieger Lake Lane.  The car ahead of me didn't stop before making a right turn onto Stieger Lake lane.  There is a STOP sign at the corner but you can hardly see it because of the trees.  I talked to the town cop about this and he said that the trees weren't his problem.  Maybe if there is an accident he can explain this to the people involved.
The other photos are from in front of Thistle City Hall.  If the City of Victoria has a weed inspector, the first red tag should go to City Hall.

More Scouts.  Here's a picture I took of some members of Boy Scout Troop 337 working at the recent Lions Softball Tournament.  The Scout Master is in this one.  The Scouts collected garbage and aluminum cans the entire weekend, Friday through Sunday.  (L-r):  Nathan Jackels, John Gamades (Scout Master), Austin Wilder, and Matt Maenke.  Thanks.
