Letters to the Editor

To the Editor:
I think it's great that the Victoria Chamber of Commerce gives scholar-ships to deserving students.  The fishhook is on page 32 in the Prairie Lawn & Gar-den ad.

To the Editor:
Hello, Sue.  My name is Gail Grimm Lave.  I now live in Springfield, Missouri.  I originally lived in Billings, Montana, where I grew up with my family Robert Grimm and Dorothy.
A couple years ago my oldest brother got a hold of a family tree of the Grimm family, which included Wendelin Grimm and others.
Recently my father was taken quite ill and had heart surgery, where I came across the most interesting of news.  My father's brother, Jack Grimm, brought me a copy of the information about the Grimm farm in Minnesota and who my great great grandfather was.  I absolutely loved it all.  I now have this family tree of the Grimm family starting at approximate-ly 1705 but has since been discontinued around 1956, three years after my birth.
I am trying to complete it up to date, but have run into a stalemate of some of the family information.  Is there any chance that one of the Grimm family in your area would be interested in having some input with the family tree?
My Uncle Jack Grimm is also going to Minnesota and was going to try to look up some relatives.  I would appreciate any information you could give me, and I also have the copy of the tree if need be.
If you are in contact with any mem-ber of the Grimm family, feel free to pass on my e-mail address, miscuegl@aol.com.
Thanks for your time.  And thanks for answering my e-mail.  I did get in touch with Clarence Kelzer last night as you suggested.

To the Editor:
Thanks for the fun in finding the fish-hook.  My family has a separate contest to see who can find it.  Last one to find it does the dishes.  This month's fishhook is hidden in the chainsaw of the Prairie Lawn and Garden ad on page 32.  Thanks.
Joni Wohl, Chaska, Minnesota

To the Editor:
It was much too easy!  The fishhook is on page 32 in the Prairie Lawn & Garden ad.  I love the Gazette and you.

To the Editor:
Those trees in the Prairie Lawn and Garden ad on page 32 in your June paper will be at their highest performance once the fish guts get buried around them.  Mom did that with trees and flower bushes.  It's an all-natural fertilizer.  The fishhook is in the power tool of that ad.

To the Editor:
Thank you to all the Carver County residents who donated their gently used clothing and household goods to support the work of Arc-Hennepin Carver during the Chaska River City Days festival.
All goods collected will be sold at Arc's Value Village Thrift Stores, which support the programs and services of Arc Hennepin Carver.  Thanks to the generosi-ty of local residents and businesses, Arc's Value Village has raised nearly $8 million on behalf of people with mental retarda-tion and related developmental disabilities and their families.
For information and volunteer oppor-tunities, call Arc at 952-920-0855 or visit www.archennepincarver.org.
