Good afternoon.  The golden daffo-dils and robins join us in sending you a sunny welcome from mid Missouri on this first day of spring.  We're counting down to the postmark deadline for you to submit your newspaper's best photographs, editorials, news, and other shining examples reflecting your staff efforts throughout 2006 and enter them in the National Newspaper Association's 2007 Better Newspaper Contest and Better Newspaper Advertising Contest.  There is no limit on the number of entries that you may submit to the contest or in any one category.  Each entry must be accompan-ied by a completed entry form and $20 entry free.  Happy spring!

Hi, Sue.  I'm looking out my window today (March 22^nd) and see that Stieger Lake is opening in the middle.  Wow, another winter gone!  My grill is opening at Floyd's with limited menu and hours, beginning April 1^st.  Here we go again.
