Notice the Albino. I was driving along Lake Minnetonka about 2 p.m. on Friday, March 24th, and glanced toward the lake. I saw all these wild turkeys, which isn't that uncommon, but in the midst of them I saw an albino turkey. Never saw an albino turkey before. I had my camera along so I did a U-turn by the Wayzata Yacht Club and took a picture. Hope I see some of them when I'm turkey hunting this spring. Al Orsen Victoria, Minnesota
The Wood of the Cross. Once in a blue moon or two, I get a creative itch that I just have to scratch. The winter moon can cast an almost supernatural glow on the landscape. One day a while back, while passing the St. Victoria Catholic Cemetery on Victoria Drive, I noticed the powerful presence of the Crucifix. I just thought the two together - the winter moon and the Crucifix - might make a good picture. I took this photo at 5:30 a.m. on the morning of December 20th, 2005. My camera was on a tripod and set for night photography. It didn't quite turn out the way I wanted, but I think I was on the right track. Notice how the wood of the cross disappears. That's the moon in the sky and, if you look closely, you can see the partially furled flag. Kurt Zuppke, President Victoria Lions Club

Bowling for Hunger. The Zumbra and Wasserman Communities at Victoria Elementary School in Vic-toria have been busy connecting 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders by sharing through creativity and conversa-tion. In the recent community event called "Soup's On," students studied hunger and collected canned and boxed donations to be given to Victoria and Chaska community members in need. Along with this service project, students made their own ceramic bowls by painting and firing them. By keeping their own personal bowl, they will be reminded of the values of generosity and helping one another. Thank you to the Victoria Art teacher, Colette Nicoletta, for her assistance in organizing this event. Local food shelves need our help in support-ing hungry families in our area. All the food collect-ed will go to the CAP Agency, an organization that helps families in need in Carver County and nearby counties. Thank you so much for your support. Rachel Horstmann, Grade 4, Special Education Teacher Victoria Elementary School, Victoria, Minnesota
