Watercolors. There is always much activity at the Victoria Field House, and some of it is not related to exercise, exercise equipment, walking track, ice skating, hockey, and dozens of other programs and classes for the residents of Victoria. Sometimes there is another type of activity at the Victoria Field House. For example, during the last several weeks, and for a few more weeks, there is an attractive art display for show and for sale. The art is by husband and wife team, Joe and Georgia Kandiko. Joe is a local medical doctor. Georgia sings in the St. Victoria Choir. The editor's very own camera captured some of her favorite pieces for this community page of the Victoria Gazette.

Spring Break. While on spring break in Hawaii, Grant Notvedt of Victoria (right) and Logan Lantz of Chanhassen ran into the LPGA star Michelle Wie. Michelle was putting on the practice green and the boys were able to meet and greet her. Here is a photo. Zoom it in for a better look. Thank you. Greg Notvedt Victoria, Minnesota
Grab a Partner! An old fashioned Hoedown took place on Friday, March 17th, at Victoria Elementary School. Over 500 children, parents, and VES staff members enjoyed this family evening of dancing, dining, and more. Sue Hulsether, a professional caller, worked as an Artist in Residence with children in grades one through five prior to the Hoedown, during their physical education, media, and music classes. The children also learned several traditional line dances including the swirl and the twist. They also learned techniques of square dancing, the favorite being the Do Si Do. The family friendly event was designed as a time to connect and enjoy being part of the community. The Hoedown at Victoria Elementary School was the first in the start of a great tradition of toe-tappin', knee-slappin', makin' connections event. Heather Cole Victoria, Minnesota
