The Parish Family of St. Victoria Catholic Church in Victoria proudly announces the dedication of its new church on Sunday, May 8th, 2005. Arch-bishop Harry Flynn will be present to officiate at the ceremony, which is sched-uled for 2:00 p.m. All are welcome to attend. Bulldozers began work in the fall of 2003, but actual planning for the new church goes back as far as 1998. It was at that time that the parish decided that a new church would be needed to accom-modate the projected growth in the com-munity of Victoria and surrounding areas. The new church is connected to the historic church, which stands as a living reminder of the parish's rich heritage and tradition. Once a small farming commu-nity of Swiss-German settlers, St. Victoria is now a booming parish on the cusp of the west suburban Twin Cities area. With this new facility, which includes a new church, gathering space, and educa-tion center, the parish now stands ready to meet the challenges of its expansive growth.

Tornado Skies. Hi, Sue. Thought maybe you'd enjoy these pictures. Meanwhile, we've been active regarding the preservation of the Andrew Peterson barns. Would you be interested in doing a story sometime? Uncle Ron Holtmeier, Victoria, Minnesota
Baaa. Baaa. Baaa. I've attached a cute photo of some of the newest members of Gale Woods Farm in case you have room for a photo in your next publication. The lambs, a set of triplets, were born on the first day of spring, Sunday, March 20th, at 11 a.m. Each weighed in at about 6 pounds. Since then, 20 ewes have delivered a total of 38 lambs, including a second set of triplets! Six more ewes are expecting. The big red barn at Gale Woods Farm is also home to dozens of new fuzzy little yellow chicks. People can see all the farm babies during Spring into Farming on Saturday, April 9th or April 23rd, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Admission is $5. Thank you, Sue, for your consideration. I enjoy reading your paper. It's obvious from the letters you receive you have a lot of long time fans. Enjoy the warm weather.
