To the Editor: I never fail to cut out your column "From the Editor" and mail 'em to my daughter Barb in Houston. I have been doing this for a long time. She likes 'em. I like 'em!! Ovid Northrop, Victoria, Minnesota
To the Editor: We enjoy your newspaper and look forward to it every month. I would like more information on the Senior Citizens activities in Victoria. Can you tell me more about the group? What do they do and where do they meet? Do they take classes? Thanks much. Rosean Harker Victoria, Minnesota
To the Editor: I enjoy reading the Gazette. Some of the people you write about I know because I went to school with them. Enclosed is my check to keep the paper coming. Marian Moeller, Carver, Minnesota
To the Editor: The fishhook is on the turkey head and neck on page 6. Turkey tastes a lot better than fish. My dad said he wouldn't eat anything that swims. I'm not fond of it either. Cod is fine (it isn't so fishy tasting), but I don't do tuna and I'm allergic to shrimp. Happy Easter, y'all. Kay Meuwissen Chaska, Minnesota
To the Editor: Your editorial last month tells much about what is happening in today's world. The last paragraph says a lot: "A lot of the major media and their chums don't want you to see The Passion of the Christ. They have mocked and ridiculed it, lied about it and called it names and spat upon it, just like the Roman soldiers at the scourging ..." The world has indeed been led to believe a lie. I hope and pray they wake up before it's too late. They should read the Bible. The truth is there. Thank you for the good coverage of the Victoria Fire Department Fishing Contest. Don and Sandra Dahl Victoria, Minnesota
To the Editor: I just finished viewing the latest pages online in Sue's Album at www.VictoriaGazette.com and, of course, the collection of pictures from hanging around the 2004 Victoria Ice Fishing Contest. Your feature story, "It's All Relative," was nice to read. All of us at the Victoria Fire Department want to say thank you for your support. Gary Sohns, Chief Victoria Fire Department Victoria, Minnesota
To the Editor: On behalf of the Civil Justice Coalition, I want to thank Senator Julianne Ortman of Chanhassen for her vote in favor of the job reference protec-tion bill. This bill has been a longstand-ing priority for the business community and the coalition, which represents business, schools, nonprofits, and local governments. We believe this compromise bill will go a long way in encouraging employers to share important information regarding current or former employees. This ex-change is critical so that effective hiring decisions can be made and Minnesota can have safe, productive workplaces. Again, we thank Senator Ortman for her thoughtful consideration of this important jobs issue and for supporting it on the Senate floor. David Olson President/MN Chamber of Commerce; Chair/Civil Justice Coalition
To the Editor: Enclosed is a check for the continued subscriptions for myself and daughter at Carver. We thoroughly enjoy reading the Gazette, knowing the dedication, time, and continuing effort put into publishing an excellent, interesting, and informed paper. My husband found the fishhook on the strutting spring turkey in the Cabin Fever ad on page 6. Yea, think spring! Joycelyn Reus Pine River, Minnesota
To the Editor: I am enclosing a check for the Gazette because I don't want to miss any of them. I enjoy reading it as the town grows. Thank you. Dorothy VanSloun Minneapolis, Minnesota
To the Editor: Here is $10 for another good year. Love your Gazette! Sue, do you have an address for Father Elstan? I asked my brother Father Peter Fritz and he doesn't think he's in Michigan anymore. Do you know where he is now? My brother is retired and is down in Texas at a Francis-can retirement home between Dallas and Fort Worth. Were you in Ghent when Father Harold Hesse was the pastor out there? My sister Philomena Hesse was married to Father Hesse's brother Bernie. She subscribes to the Gazette also. I always handed down my extra copies of the Gazette. She gave up the Herald and subscribes to the Gazette. Another feather in your cap. Judy Kerber Chaska, Minnesota Click here to continue.
