To the Editor:
Thank you very much for the nice picture and article about the Victoria American Legion in last month's paper.  We appreciate the publicity and the support from the community.  The breakfast was a success and we had to turn some away because we ran out of food.
On March 21st the Carver County Veterans Council presented a new van to the county.  The next Victoria Legion meeting will be held April 20th at the Carver County Museum in Waconia.  The meeting starts at 7:30 p.m.  Please attend.

To the Editor:
I've surely enjoyed the great coverage of the school situation in the last two Gazettes.  Go for it, Victoria!
Keep up the good work.  You have a very special paper.  What a project each month!  I miss your mom and dad's quotes and your comments.  They'll be home from Texas soon, so we can look forward to their "words of wisdom."
Please renew my subscription.  God bless you and your family.
Lovingly,
Sister Betty Ann Gits, St. Paul, Minnesota

To the Editor:
Although I have no children or grandchildren, I support your school efforts to the max!  Thanks for a great newspaper.  Great job.
Helena Johnston, Victoria, Minnesota

To the Editor:
What great coverage of the elementary school issue.  Thanks.
Dr. Phillip Haber, Victoria, Minnesota

To the Editor:
Your covering of the school issue is excellent.  Keep up the good work.  Even though I no longer live in Vic-toria, it will always be my hometown.  Reading the Gazette is a wonderful way to keep up on what goes on in Victoria.  Enclosed is my check for a renewal.  Thank you.
Dorothy Van Sloun, Minneapolis, Minnesota

To the Editor:
Your newspaper is quite unique and I enjoy reading it.  Just thought I would share with you an upcoming event here in the Valley of the Jolly Green Giant.  April 9th at 7 p.m., Living Waters Christian Church is having a night of healing for physical and emotional problems.  Everyone is welcome.  God bless you and keep you.
Carol Kaufman, LeSueur, Minnesota

To the Editor:
Hi, Sue.  Blessed Lent.  I hope you're finding a patch of inner desert to fortify your communication with God.  We all need this, especially with the hectic pace we tend to keep.  Please continue sending me the Gazette.  Also, please add this Waconia-Chaska transplant (not in Des Plaines, Illinois) to your mailing list.  Thanks.  God bless you richly.
Carol Kelzer, Sioux City, Iowa

To the Editor:
Love the Gazette, Sue!  We have a cabin on Pierson Lake in Victoria and live there part of the summer.  We enjoy hearing about Victoria all year.  Thanks so much.
Jim and Mary Madson, Edina, Minnesota

To the Editor:
Really enjoy the paper, since Victoria is my "hometown."  We lived near Lake Zumbra and went to school at St. Victoria.  That was many moons ago.
Julie Williams, Waconia, Minnesota

To the Editor:
May life be always sweet and kind, skies be always blue and sweetest pleasure, and bright days always come to you.  Sure was nice of you to send me a hospital card with the "holy" penny.  The spy that tipped you off was a true friend.  He wanted the "news gal" to be in on the latest at the St. Francis Hospital.
Love,
Jim Neudecker, Victoria, Minnesota

To the Editor:
Enjoy your paper very much.  Enclosed is a German version of "Take me out to the ball game."  With another year of Victoria baseball coming up, thought you'd enjoy it.  An old Franciscan transcribed this version for my brother Dave Fritz, and we used to sing this version …
"Lass uns geh'n zu dem ballspiel, Lass uns geh'n met der menge.   Kaufe mir nusse unde zudker stuck.  Machts nichts aus wen'n ich nimmer zuruck.  Frisch, frisch, auf unser manschaft.  Wird sehn der feind, unsre kraft.  Est ist ein, zwei, drei es ist loss, nach dem alt ballspiel."
