What do Victoria residents want since the School Board has once again denied them the elementary school?  No poll has been taken, but at a March 9th city council meeting, resident Mark Lynum had something to say …
"I am a 12-year product of District #112.  I feel litigation is the course to take.  I still maintain these people can be voted out.  The Superintendent should resign -- if she's not fired.
"Diane, my wife, has been in contact with Representative Dave Minge, Representative Tom Workman, and Senator Ed Oliver.
"Shocking wouldn't adequately describe what I've heard from the school board members.  I think we should go after these people hard.  I think we have to draw a line in the sand.  I'm not the only one who's thinking this.  I think you should aggressively go after them and get this resolved quickly.
"It's a matter of personal integrity and honesty.  They've manipulated the system and it extends into the county.  You don't have to be a rocket scientist to understand just why County Road #11 needed widening.  If the City of Chaska wants to be run like that, fine.  But I think Chanhassen, Carver, and Victoria should stand up and push for what's right."
Behind closed doors, literally, Victoria city councilmembers have been considering and discussing the option of litigation.  Attorneys have said Victoria could handily win a case against School District #112.  Victoria councilmembers hadn't yet taken an official vote at the time of this printing.  In the past there was also mention of taking a higher ground and putting energy in a positive direction -- perhaps a charter school.
