Winter Weekend ~ 2008

We spent a winter weekend with our grandchildren -- babysitting, actually, so Jenny and Christopher could do a little bit of their own thing -- and of course Grandma Sue took out her camera.  It was Saturday and Sunday, January 5th and 6th.

Grandpa Al took Addie and Gunnar sledding down our front yard hill.  It was a long trek.

The fast and blurry slide down the hill was worth everything, including the long trek.

"Let's go again, Grandpa Al."

"Okay, hop on the sled."

"Wheeeee, this is fun!"

"Hi, Grandma Sue.  We're going to do it again."

"Hey, Grandpa, hang onto that sled for us."

"Wheeeeee …."

"Who says I can't ride bike in the winter?"

Gunnar fell asleep on the way to Houlihan's for dinner that night and didn't even wake up when Grandma Sue carried him into the restaurant, took off his stocking hat, and unzipped his coat."

Addie kept Grandpa Al busy while we waited for our food.

It was fun to know that Houlihan's has appetizers for kids … and grandpa's.

Gunnar stayed knocked out through the entire meal ...

… which meant undivided attention for Little Miss Adeline."

Addie and Gunnar like to play in the little coves and corners at Grandma's house.
