Victoria Volksfest 2012

Among the several attractions and events at this year’s Volksfest, held Friday and Saturday, August 17th and 18th, none outshined the people who visited or spent time there.  Here are a few of them.

Hartman Tree Farm and Nursery supplied the native décor for the plaza where the Chair Auction was held.  Thank you, Debby Wrolson, Jeff and Leslie Hartman.

Mayor Mary Hershberger Thun and her husband Dave were part of the scenery.

Several young families visited Volksfest including Derrick and Raven Derfus of Victoria and their children Georgie (top), Kjersti (middle), and Oak (bottom).

Rick and Peggy Leuthner of Victoria attended Volksfest with daughter Jill Honetschlager and grandchildren Colton and Baby Brienne.

Bill and Ruth Brune of Victoria enjoyed the afternoon.

Auctioneer Dave DuToit makes sure the Southwest Metro Chamber of Commerce gets the best price for the many Adirondack Chairs purchased, decorated, and donated by area businesses.

Three of the colorful Adirondacks lined up like soldiers in the field.

This chair was designed on behalf of the Victoria Fire Department.  Notice Sparky the Fire dog resting on each arm of the chair.
