Unveiling “The Savior of the World”

Gail Berger of The Blessing House spoke before the unveiling and thanked people for their support of The Blessing House.

This remarkable event at The Blessing House in Victoria on Sunday afternoon, September 23rd — an exposition of “The Savior of the World” by Mark Balma — is the last time the painting will be seen on the continent of North America.  From Victoria it goes on a trip across Europe.

Allyson Ringate, friend of Mark Balma, said the artist grinds his own stone to produce desired paint colors for his work.

The original, unveiled.

Bryan Olson, a member of The Blessing House Board, said he feels strongly about The Blessing House and wants to ensure its presence in the community.

Gina Lehner Holman always calls Allan, “Boss Man” because he hired her to manage the Wayzata Muni, where she worked for many years when Allan was the Wayzata City Manager.

Deputy John Branwell of the Carver County Sheriff’s Department was on hand to safeguard the priceless painting which is, in fact, valued at millions of dollars.

We’re photographed with the original painting, which is leaving the North American continent to travel across Europe and maybe even land at the Louvre — where we’ve photographed the Mona Lisa.  It was 1997 and my parents were with us.

The Blessing House is grateful for promotions in the Gazette.  The Gazette is happy to know The Blessing House.
