Turkey Hunt ~ 2013

Allan and son Nick and son in law Christopher went turkey hunting in April south of Victoria near Rochester, on farm property of the McNallans, who actually live in Chanhassen.  We know Pat and Michelle McNallan because they belong to St. Victoria.  Also, Michelle sings in the choir, and Pat sang in the choir until their little Kierra was born.  The hunters were gone from April 25th to the 29th and Editor Sue enjoyed her very own mini-vacation which reminded her of TODBAR (The Old Days Before Allan Retired).  The guys had a wonderful time.  Except for the first two photos, which I took before they left home, captions and photos here are by Allan who got a turkey, but mostly the guys saw hens.

The farm is eight miles west of the Mississippi River.

Creek branches on the farm that drains into the Zumbro River, which drains into the Mississippi River just north of Kellog.

We had the best weather.

Nick always started and tended our campfire.
