The Babies at the Park

It’s true that Sophia and Mia are bigger than babies now, and they’ve come to run and talk and play with each other and Grandma Sue when I babysit every week, but they’re still the babies!  The weather has been so nice that I took them to the park in March on a beautiful day that started out cool (see the hats and jackets) and then became toasty warm.  Nick and Jen have a playground area in their beautiful neighborhood, just a short stroll from their home, so I popped Sophie and Mia in the stroller one morning and down the trail we went.

Yes, that is Nick and Jen’s spacious home.  Nick always has a garage door up for me when I arrive at 6:30 a.m. and so my car stays warm in the winter and cool in the summer.  Can’t believe I’ve been babysitting 2 1/2 years now — since December  2009 — several months before Mia was born.

Mia will be 2 years old in May.  Wow!  Sweet Sophie was 3 this past October.  At the playground she is saying, “Grandma Sue, would you please let us outta here!”

Now this is more like it!

Love, Grandma Sue

Swings are always a favorite.

Hi, Sweetie Pie.

“Alright, enough pictures, Grandma Sue!”

And then it was time to stroll back home for lunch and a nap.
