Thank You, Mayor O’Connor and Lani Basa

City Manager Laurie Hokkanen presented tokens of appreciation to outgoing Mayor Tom O’Connor and outgoing Councilmember Lani Basa on December 12th.  Said Laurie, “This is the last meeting in this capacity for them.  On behalf of the staff and certainly the community, we’ve enjoyed working with both of you so much.”

The Victoria City Council in December 2016 (l-r):  Tom Vogt was appointed in July 2015 to fill the seat left vacant in June 2015 when Joe Pavelko resigned, then was elected in November 2016.  Tom Strigel was elected in the fall of 2010.  Tom O’Connor served four years as councilmember (2009-2012) and four years as Mayor (2013-2016), narrowly losing his bid for re-election this past fall.  Jim Crowley was elected in the fall of 2010.  Lani Basa served as councilmember 2013-2016, choosing not to run for re-election this past fall.
