Rhonda Vincent at Red Wing

We attended a Rhonda Vincent concert at the Sheldon Theater in Red Wing the evening of Friday, March 9th, at the invitation of our friends Lloyd and Rosalie Pauly of Chanhassen.

The Paulys introduced us to bluegrass music some time ago with a Monroe Crossing concert.

Red Wing is only a 90-minute drive from Victoria and well worth the trip.  We stayed overnight at the St. James Hotel.

This is painting of the Sheldon Theater, where we attended the concert.  It’s only a couple blocks from the St. James.

This is the painting above the stage in the theater.

We didn’t have our own side boxes, but we did have front row seats in the second balcony.

This was our unobstructed view during the concert.  This Mississippi rivertown of Red Wing, Minnesota, has remarkable, historical, architectural buildings, not unlike in Stillwater, another rivertown rich in heritage because it was rich in river trade.

As for Rhonda Vincent and her musical family, they are amazing talents and  it was an  outstanding concert.  Yes, we had eye contact from our front row seats.
