Nonstop With Our Kids and Grandkids

Our daughter Jenny on the left and our son Nick on the right with Nick’s girls Sophie and Mia in front. In back are Jenny’s daughter Addie, her friend Asha, Allan, and Jenny’s son Gunnar — in a food court at the Mall of America.

Jenny took pictures too.  The kids were out of school because of MEA in MN and NDEA in North Dakota.

Sophie’s birthday is October 30th but since we had a chance to be together on Friday, October 19th, Jenny gave her godchild presents early and we also sang Happy Birthday.  Sophie is now, for the very first time, in double digits.

Jenny found matching shirts for Sophie and Sophie’s American Girl doll.

Yes, that’s the place.

Happy birthday, Sophie, from Grandma Sue.

Can you see Sophie and Addie?

Gunnar is in the red shirt.

Now we can see all four — Gunnar and Mia in front, Addie and Asha behind them.  Sophie doesn’t like roller coasters.

The kids went on many rides that day including the high flying swings.  Hi, Mia, Sophie, Asha, and Addie.

Grandma Sue caught a picture between rides.

Then it was time for the Ferris Wheel.

Jenny was in this car with us.

Gunnar, Addie, and Asha were in a different car.

Allan and Nick watched us go round and round.

There they are.

The cousins are getting so tall!!

We all left for home after shopping, rides, and a bite to eat.

The next day we were back at the Mall of America so Addie and Asha could do some dedicated shopping.

And the rest of us went to the movies.  We chose “First Man,” about Neil Armstrong being the first man on the moon.  It was very good.  This was our third day with Jenny and the kids.  On their first day here we went to see “Cinderella” at Eden Prairie Center — not the animated version.  It was the best!

One night we sat by the firepit at home and roasted marshmallows.  Hi, Jenny.  Hi, Gun Gun.

A break for screen time.

Since Jenny moved to North Dakota, she especially notices and comments on our outstanding fall color.

We always love for our kids to come home.  Thanks for going to church with me, Jenny.

Hi, Asha.  Hi, Addie Sue.
