Nickle Dickle Day in Waconia

Apple Day in Excelsior

It was our good fortune that it stopped raining when we arrived that Saturday morning of September 16th and mixed with thousands of people in downtown Waconia.

Cathy (Vanderlinde) Webster grew up in Victoria.  She and husband Gary live in St. Boni.  Daughter in law Megan (wife of son Joe Webster) and family live in Minnetrista.  Cathy’s grandchildren in the photo are Jase, McKenna, and Madelyn.

We enjoyed the cheese curds, live music, more vendors that we’ve ever imagined, classic cars, and visiting shops that were open for business in downtown Waconia.

In spite of the huge crowds of people, we found a parking space about three or four blocks from the Town Square.  After a couple hours, we felt a few drops of rain and made it to the car in the nick of time.

Many people were not so lucky.

It was our good fortune it stopped raining when we got to Apple Day in downtown Excelsior that afternoon of Sept. 16th.

Gigantic tents kept people dry when it sprinkled a bit.

We enjoyed chicken wings, the live music, blooming plants and people everywhere, and vendors lining the streets.

Mary Moore also enjoyed meeting little Spider Man.
