Mother’s Day Weekend

On Friday evening, Nick drove to Victoria for a delicious chicken supper that Jenny made for us but I hadn’t thought to take my camera out to capture that nice evening so I grabbed this one from a visit to Nick’s a while ago.

Jenny took the train from Stanley, ND, to St. Paul, MN, on April 16th to be with her mama for a couple days after the bad accident in Ireland, and she came by train again on Mother’s Day Weekend.

Jenny also went up and down the stairs for me and did my laundry, and planted all my flowers.  Thank you , Jenny.

Allan helped with the flowers.

Jenny left Goliath and Lucy back home on the farm with Christopher, Addie, and Gunnar.

And the chickens too.  They’re not so cute anymore when their fuzz turns to feathers.  But the eggs will taste good.

This meal wasn’t fancy but we sure enjoyed the weather and sitting on our deck.

I wore jammie pants at home for a few days.

And then on Sunday we drove to Marshall to see my mom and dad.  We picked up chicken sandwiches and French fries at McDonald’s for lunch.  Mom’s meal was brought to her by the cooks at Boulder Creek.

I walked in holding Jenny’s arm and left my walker in the trunk of the car.

My sister Nancy lives near Marshall, on a farm near Ghent.

The staff at Boulder Creek often comments on the crowd in Mom’s room, even when it’s not Mother’s Day .  That’s three of my four brothers (Matt, Louie, and Paul), then Dad, and Allan.

Matt and his wife flew in from Dallas and spent several days in the Marshall area.
