Mom and Dad at Boulder Creek

I didn’t take this picture but I like it a lot.  It’s a picture I received from Dad on April 7th, when I was in the Belfast City Hospital in Ireland.  My parents looked and were feeling much better than their eldest daughter Susan.  You see that walker in the right hand side behind Dad?  Such a thing has also now become very familiar to me.  My story is on the front page of the May 2018 issue of the Gazette.

Before Allan and I left for Ireland, I drove to Marshall to spend time with Dad and a couple overnights with Mom.  While I was there (March 28th-30th), a “therapist” and her white doggie came to visit Mom.

We pretended it was all very normal to have a dog in the house, and on Mom’s lap.

Hi, Mama.  Can’t wait to come and see you again.

Dad lives across the street at Boulder Estates, but spends nearly all his time with Mom at Boulder Creek.  Us, too.

Whenever anyone calls, Dad makes sure to give the phone to Mom to talk and visit for a while.  I think Mom was talking this time to Barb Voges, one of their Texas friends.

Love, Susan
