Mom and Dad’s 71st Anniversary

Allan and I also drove to Marshall on Sunday, May 20th, which was Mom and Dad’s 71st wedding anniversary.  Nancy brought wonderful individual seafood salads for everybody and delicious homemade rhubarb pie and rhubarb sauce.

Nancy’s son Wade and his daughter Katie also stopped by Boulder Creek to say hi.

Back in March I had sent Dad copies of some pictures to remind him of the old days.  When we got to Marshall, I saw that they were all posted on a board in Mom’s room.  Yes, the little girl pictures are of me.  Above them are Mom and two of her younger sisters, Sharlene and Clarone, both now deceased.  The seven baby pictures on the left are their seven kids.

Boulder Creek had a special party and cake for Mom and Dad’s 71st.

And then they was an anniversary waltz and somebody else’s walker got in the picture.

Boulder Creek put up this nice poster outside the door to Mom’s room at Boulder Creek.   I keep saying “Mom’s room” because Dad’s apartment is across the street at Boulder Estates but he spends most of his time with Mom.
