The Lions Roar by Sue Orsen/The Victoria Gazette.  “Two of the Victoria Lions’ more recent annuals include the second Fish Fry, held this year on April 5th, and their fifth Spring fling, held this year on April 26th.  Each was held in the Lions Park Pavilion, which the Lions designed, constructed, and gave to the City of Victoria in 2018.”  Click on Front Page.

Uniformity and Diversity by Tom Abts, Deer Run Golf Pro.  “Don’t worry.  I’m not ready to take on that subject as to regarding our society.  That gets into the old battle between culture and civilization.  This is just about golf.”

Busier Than Thou by Pastor Kevin Dibbley, Waterbrooke Christian Church.  “Work was meant to be a grace.  It is a gift to be enjoyed in serving and benefitting others.  It  wasn’t meant to become our identity.  We were not meant to become boasters of our perpetual busyness.”

Hanging Out in Ireland from Nancy Boerboom, Ghent, MN.  “It’s been a whirlwind trip.  We’ve traveled by plane, train, taxi, train, car, bus, horse drawn carriage, climbed some, and walked a lot.  We all kissed the Blarney Stone, though I don’t like heights and I’m not even Irish.”

A Truly Special Day by Tom Stumpf, Cowboy Correspondent.  “Mothers should occupy a very high rung on the ladder of those whom we honor.  Mother’s Day helps us recall the spirit of the women who lovingly brought us into the world and allowed us to breathe the warm scents of spring.”
