Lions Pavilion ~ Electrical, Insulation, Ceiling, Garage Doors

Recessed lighting apparatus was installed in the ceiling rafters by Lion Matt Bergmann and Laketown Electric of Waconia.

has been serving and working as the Project Manager, as a dedicated volunteer.  He loves it, and Gazette Editor Sue can attest that he’s putting in time every day overseeing and ensuring the project as a labor of love.

When Allan leaves the house every day, I say, “Take some pictures for me.  It’s your project, not mine.”  And so he does.”

February was a busy month inside the Lions Pavilion, none of the progress visible from the outside, at Lions Park in Victoria.

Allan took all these pictures with his iPhone and he must have thought they were important so I will include them all.

Laketown Electric redid the electrical panel in the back room (not shown in the above photo).  They also roughed in the light fixtures and receptacles, and installed some of the conduit for security cameras and sound and video.  They also installed the switches and dimmers to control all the recessed ceiling lights (shown in the photo).

This is the existing panel.  A second panel will be added.

On February 6th, M&M Insulation from Cologne started the process of insulating the walls.  M&M was low bidder to put in the insulation.

That’s the open hallway that leads to the bathrooms.

This is looking toward 82nd Street and the parking lot.  The exact footprint of the previous shelter was retained so that the  Lions didn’t have to increase the size of the parking lot and go through all kinds of watershed and water runoff regulations that would have increased project costs substantially.

A lift was used to put on the insulation in the high places and also to put the poly vapor barrier on the ceiling.  This work was also done by M&M.

On February 9th, S.J. Reus started to put the T1-11 cedar material on the ceiling.  Beams will be installed over the beams on the cathedral ceiling and it should be quite attractive when finished.

Victoria Lion Steve Reus and his son Marc are a team with S.J. Reus Construction Company of Watertown.  They and their crew did all of the carpentry work, the framing of the building, the siding, the roof, and the sheathing.  They will also be installing the outside siding, soffits, and trim.

Action Overhead Doors from Prior Lake arrived to bolt together and install the garage doors.

Action Overhead Doors installed all 11 garage doors in one day.  It was a crew of five people.

On February 23rd, M&M Foam was blowing in the ceiling insulation before the final panels were installed on the ceiling.

Also on February 23rd, Marc Reus put on the last piece of the T1-11 ceiling, after M&M completed the blowing of the insulation in the ceiling.
